Did you participate in that, running SETI@home as part of a global grid supercomputer network doing something that seemed pretty interesting? I've thought about that now and again, and then I ran into this rather cool site today:

It's the SETI@home thing all over again, but you can choose to participate in a variety of different research projects in medical, energy, climate and other more immediately-useful fields. You can even hook back up with SETI@home! The software is available for Linux and Mac, too.
